It's Monday again?
Okay, so there's no new finished objects to report on. But I do have a new project in the works. I'm working on making beer cozies. I have two or three different patterns, and I already have one made (so I lied...there's one FO). If anyone reading this has made any, I'd love to see pics and find out if you were satisfied. I think these would be excellent Christmas gifts for our friends here in town. All of our friends from college that still live close try to get together once a month (more now that football has started up) for a little party, and these would be great gifts for those people on the "12 Month Party Plan". So, I'm all ears...I'm open to suggestions.

Wow! That was a fast weekend!
Okay, absolutely no knitting done this weekend. NONE. Friday, we went out to dinner with friends and I spent the rest of the night getting ready for Saturday. Saturday, we met up with my parents to celebrate Trail of Tears, and we rode the motorcycles all day. I finally got a little knitting done last night while watching the Emmys.
What I'm Watching - Degrassi. I've seen all the old episodes about 12 times each, but I've gotten the husband hooked, so I'm watching them all again ( and learning how obsessed I really am).
What I'm Reading - Still the Laurell K. Hamilton book.
What I'm Listening to - Still a playlist of randomness.
Okay, I'll post TOT pictures when I get them from my mom. I took NO pictures.

I'm trying...
Okay....So the last post and all of the ufo's? Not much to tell...I did finish the wristlets, and promptly cast on another. I should have several, since I have the coldest hands in the world.
The kiddo had his first soccer game last weekend. Does that officially make me a soccer mom? I don't think I'm ready for that title yet.
So--here's my list of randomness for this week.
What I'm watching - Corner Gas. WGN just started airing episodes last night, and I'm hooked.
What I'm reading - Laurell K. Hamilton's " Incubus Dreams". I'm trying to do this whole "read a book a week" thing. Part of that is exploring new authors that I've never read. Always looking for suggestions. I'll read anything.
What I'm listening to- this week is a random week. I go from Dr. Dre to the Grateful Dead in 0-2 seconds. I'm just keeping the iPod on random.
I'm also starting the major diet today! No more Little Debbie Cakes! No more chocolate! (Except for maybe just a little dark chocolate. It's good for the old ticker, I hear.)

I'm still here!!!!
Okay, I know I haven't posted in months, but I've decided to at least start posting once a week. I have so many things on the needles, that it's insane. I have major project ADD.
Here's the rundown:
1) Cedar Creek socks from BMFA in STR Farmhouse - I'm just past the gusset on the second sock. I'm moving slow because I a) have way too many projects going and b) it's too damned hot to wear socks.
2) Tiny socks - I'm making little tiny socks out of scrap sock yarn for Christmas ornaments. I've done about 10.
3) Socks for Vance - My kiddo asked for socks, so I'm doing him a pair of simple socks in this green Trekking that I have.
4) Wrist Warmers - I've been wanting to make a pair, because my hands are always cold, so I'm doing the Knitty Gritty Wristlets from Marnie McLean in some leftover L&V. I'm almost done with the second one.
5) Chevron Scarf from LMKG- I'm doing this in two crazy colors of KnitPicks Memories- Hawaii and Spring Prairie. It's GORGEOUS and so bright and Frank-ish that I've decided to call it the "Costanza Scarf".
6) (Yes, I have 6 things on the needles) Ballband Dishcloth from MDK - In beige and black Peaches n Cream.
Other than that, this is what I'm doing--
What I'm working on- Getting a Ruben Studdard concert off without a hitch.
What I'm watching - Yesterday, I watched the Oxygen marathon of Pasadena. They do this once a year, and I watch the entire show every time. Love it!
What I'm reading - "A Dirty Job" by Christopher Moore....LOVE it!
What I'm listening to- Don't laugh...My Chemical Romance
So...until next time...I promise it won't be two months!

WWKIP Day? Missed it.
Okay, so Saturday was WWKIP day. I didn't K at all, in P or otherwise. It's surprising, because I'm always K'ing. But I had good reason.
We got up Saturday morning, hopped on the bike and headed to Memphis. We got to our room, checked in, and headed to the Flying Saucer for beer and lunch. (Purple Haze on tap and brats...perfect meal.) After a nap, we headed to Huey's for more beer, and to Rendevouz for ribs! We walked down to Beale and hung out at Silky's for awhile, and realized that it was really late, so we stumbled back to our room.
After a fabulous breakfast on Sunday, we rode back with perfect weather. All in all, it was a perfect weekend.
Now, as for Sunday night's festivities, I was less than impressed. I'm talking about the Sopranos finale. I was super pumped about how Phil got what was coming to him, but less than pumped about the rest. Tonight's the Big Love season premiere. Yay!!!!!
Here's a list for this week. Not the same as previous lists, but here we go.
Top 5 Bars
5. Silky O' Sullivans, Memphis - Dueling pianos, Diver buckets, a goat that lives there. What else do you need?
4. Bumpers Bar & Grill, Iron City, TN - Ahh, the redneck hangout of my youth. Many a Friday (and Saturday) were wasted (oh, wait...I was wasted) here. I haven't been back in years, but it's still a fave.
3. Flying Saucer, Several locations - I live in a town with no draft beer whatsoever. So this is like Mecca.
2. Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Nashville, TN - Shoulder to shoulder drunk people singing country songs as loud as they possibly can. Not for the faint of heart. Actually, not for the sober.
and
1. Florabama, Orange Beach, AL & Pensacola, FL - You gotta love a bar that gets partially destroyed by a hurricane, and instead of rebuilding, just straps a tarp over the broken parts. Classic white trash bar. I make a annual pilgrimage to Mullet Toss, which is a huge celebration around people throwing fish across the state line. It's the best.

Everybody's Workin' for the Weekend
I love that song. Anyhoo, I'm ready for today to be OVER. The old man and I are hopping on the motorcycle bright & early tomorrow for an "adults only" trip to Memphis. We just need to get away and this is going to be great...even if it does rain!

Monday, Monday
This weekend was entirely too short. The majority of my weekend was spend finishing the first Charade sock, casting on the second, and watching a marathon of Hex on BBC America.
Let's kick off the week with a list of things...
Things that make me Happy!
- The kiddo's laugh
- Red Vines
- BBC America (considering that we've been intimate all weekend)
- The fact that I get off work in 37 minutes!
