I've been such a blogging slacker. One of my resolutions is to actually maintain a knitting blog in 2007. I've compiled some other resolutions (knitting and otherwise): 1. Knitting Blog 2. Lose 10 lbs. 3. Tackle cables (that scares the crap out of me) 4. complete 10 pairs of socks 5. Learn to spin.
I spent New Year's Eve and New Year's Day starting on number 4. I have two skeins of Bernat Sox that the hubby gave me for my birthday, so I'm doing a pair of simple socks (using a lion brand pattern) out of them. I had one skein of pink and one of blue, so I'm doing a stripe. (That's why I chose the simple pattern). I turned the heel on sock one last night.
Here's my knitting queue for the next month:
1. Finish blue and pink simple socks...now known as the "Twilight Zone Socks", because that's what I watched nonstop for two days while working on them.
2. Fingerless mitts from OneSkein...I have some grey fingering weight that I'm going to use.
3. Felted mittens. Mom gave me some "Felt it" yarn and a mitten pattern for Christmas, so I better cast that on!
4. Find something to use all of the alpaca that I got for Christmas. Looking for suggestions....When I get the camera working, I'll post pics.
Happy New Year!!!

*waves* Hey, fellow blogger!
Cables are totally easy and fun. You tackle cables this year, I'll tackle socks. :-)
Hello! Yes, cables are easy. I was surprised how easy it was. Let me know if you want the pattern for the bag on my blog- although the link to it no longer works, I have it saved on my computer ;-)
